Male Running Coach/ Personal Trainer
Hi, I’m Will.
My goal as a coach is to help you build healthy habits and learn to love exercise — not just endure it. I want to help people gain confidence, not only in the gym, but in all walks of life.
Lifting heavy weights helps me blow off steam, and running acts as a meditation, helping me process emotions and clear my head. I show clients how these same practices can bring you closer to the person you want to become. We all want to look better and perform better, but more than anything, what really matters is feeling better.
I specialise in endurance training — particularly running — along with the injury prevention, rehab and conditioning that goes hand in hand with it. A big part of what I do is helping runners keep improving, whether that’s chasing a new personal best, tackling a new distance, or simply staying strong and pain-free for years to come. That said, I work with a wide range of people with all kinds of goals — if you’re looking to lose weight, build general strength, or just feel more energised day to day, I’d love to help with that too.
What can you expect with me as your coach?
I run a weekly running club and build tailored training programmes for runners working toward all sorts of goals, anywhere between your first 5k, or training toward an Ironman . I’ll analyse your running technique to help you move more efficiently and reduce your injury risk, and I’ll shape your programme around your target event, current fitness level and lifestyle.
The sooner you enjoy making the healthier choice, the easier it becomes to make real progress. Whether you want to lose weight, hit a personal best, or simply improve your focus and energy, enjoying the process has to come first — everything else follows from there. Having a personal trainer means having someone in your corner to keep you accountable and help you enjoy the journey, not just endure it.
As we work together, I’ll closely track your progress and offer ongoing advice on training, recovery and the lifestyle habits that support it.
My background
I started running at 16, originally as a way to manage my mental health and help me focus during exams. It didn’t take long for me to fall completely in love with the sport — I moved from those first runs into half marathons, and eventually found myself drawn to the world of ultra marathons and trail running.
Most recently, I broke a world record, along the Camino de Santiago, running 268km along the coastal route from Porto to Santiago in 64.5 hours. It pushed me further than I’ve ever been — through major sleep deprivation and severe muscle soreness. Having achieved my first world record, the next goal is to keep chasing new niche ultra-distance records, showing others what can be achieved when you find your stride.
Achievements:
- World Record: 268km in 64.5 hours, Camino De Santiago (Porto coastal route)
- 785km in 19 days, Camino De Santiago (French route)
- Barcelona Marathon: 3 hours 12 minutes
- Victoria Park Half Marathon: 1 hour 28 minutes
- 10k: 39 minutes
