Military Training Rob Blair

Before meeting Rob, I knew I wanted to join the Army Reserve but was definitely not fit enough. I could not pass the Infantry/Armoured Corps Basic Training entry standards let alone the harder GCC Role Fitness Tests required for my role. I also really struggled finding the time to improve my fitness while working c.70 hours a week.
Over the past year, Rob has the provided the expertise, training and structure I needed to be prepared for and excel during military training. Sessions are challenging, varied and military-specific, which has been amazing!
Training with Rob has been especially helpful whilst progressing through the Basic Training (Mods 1-3) as I could get tips and advice before/after each module e.g. how to pack weight into webbing and a berghan.
Beyond just passing Basic Training, we were also working towards the full GCC RFT, which starts with a 4km tab carrying 40kg followed by a 2km best effort run carrying 25kg. As I only weigh 60kgs, this weight is quite significant! We progressively built up to operating with these weights so that when doing the actual test with the Regiment, not only was it completely fine but I also beat half of the guys there.
Now, thanks to Rob, I am in a great position to go even further this year and work to become one of the fittest people in the Regiment!
